FAQ
About Eterna
What is Eterna?

Eterna is a physician-led telehealth practice focused on whole-body optimization, longevity, and wellness. Our clinicians offer personalized medical consultations and prescribe a range of evidence-based medications, including both FDA-approved therapies and carefully selected compounded or off-label treatments such as peptides.
Does Eterna employ licensed medical providers?

Yes. All of Eterna’s providers are appropriately licensed physicians and nurse practitioners based in the United States who undergo extensive credentialing, including background checks and NPDB review, clinical supervision as required, and ongoing training in longevity medicine.
Services and Medications
What kind of medications does Eterna prescribe?

Our clinicians prescribe medications that align with the patient’s clinical goals and presentation. This may include:
- FDA-approved medication
- Off-label uses of approved medication
- Compounded peptides and vitamins from certified compounding pharmacies
Are these medications FDA-approved?

Some medications we prescribe are FDA-approved, while others are compounded formulations or used off-label. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved but are prepared by licensed 503A pharmacies in accordance with a patient-specific prescription.
Where are prescriptions filled?

We partner with compounding pharmacies that do rigorous third party testing to ensure quality and safety. We also will prescribe medications to retail pharmacies as appropriate. Patients may choose to use our preferred pharmacies or ask their clinician about alternatives.
Compliance and Safety
How do you ensure patient safety?

We currently limit the number of patients per clinician, allowing for personalized, high-touch care. All providers review the patient’s intake, labs (if applicable), and history in depth before prescribing any clinically appropriate medications. Follow-ups and monitoring are built into our care model.  Patients may contact their clinician at any time if they have safety concerns and are encouraged to contact 911 in the case of any life-threatening emergencies.
Access and Eligibility
Which states do you operate in?

At this time, Eterna providers are available to patients in the following states: California, New York, Florida, Texas, and Illinois. We are rapidly expanding and will update our website as we gain licensure and operational readiness in additional states.
How do I get started?

You’ll begin with a detailed intake form and medical history. After review, you’ll be offered a telemedicine consultation with a provider licensed to practice in your state. If clinically appropriate, your provider may issue prescriptions to be filled by a pharmacy.
Do I need labs before starting?

Some therapies require baseline lab testing. If needed, your provider will order labs for you. You may use your local lab, or we can help coordinate testing.
Pricing and Payment
Is Eterna covered by insurance?

No. Eterna is currently a cash-pay practice. This allows us to offer longer visits, personalized care, and innovative treatments without insurance restrictions.
Medical Team
Who are your providers?

Eterna’s clinical team is composed of experienced, U.S.-licensed physicians and nurse practitioners with backgrounds in longevity, preventive, and integrative medicine. Each provider undergoes rigorous vetting—including background checks, credentialing, and reference reviews—and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-informed, and individualized care.
How can I verify your clinicians?

Background including residency, education, and licensing information for each provider is available upon request and will be displayed within your patient portal. You may also verify licenses via state medical board websites.
